Amici's East Coast Pizzeria announced the opening of their Danville location with a charity event that raised $12,000 for The Bay Area Rescue Mission, an organization that provides food, shelter, and job training for the impoverished of the East Bay.

On April 8th 2008, Amici's donated 100% of that day's sales to The Bay Area Rescue Mission. The event was sponsored by radio station KNBR 680 - The Sports Leader, and their many on-air personalities throughout the day. The Grande Cheese Company and E & J Gallo Winery were also very generous in their support.

San Francisco 49'ers legend Brent Jones was at Amici's new location in Danville's new Rose Garden Center in person during the afternoon, meeting fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures. He called in to KNBR and did a live interview with Ralph Barbieri during the event.
