Co-Owner Peter Cooperstein and Marketing Director Richard Allum present a check for $10,000 to Special Olympics
JULY 17 2003 - DUBLIN, CA. - Amici's East Coast Pizzeria's newest location in Dublin raised $10,000 for Special Olympics Northern California at their charity opening in March. The event, promoted by KNBR-680 and the Contra Costa Times featured celebrity waiters Dennis Cruz of KNBR's 'John London Not Just Sports Show', and 'Bob and Vinny - The Pizza Guys' from the Contra Costa Times. Additional on-air support was given by Ralph Barbieri and Tom Tolbert of KNBR's 'The Razor and Mr. T Show', and by former San Francisco 49'ers tight end Brent Jones.
Customers spending over $20 received a free T-shirt to commemorate the event, and 100% of the proceeds from the days sales were donated to Special Olympics Northern California.
